(NLDO) - At the flooded "navel" of Nguyen Van Khoi, the water was almost half way up a motorbike's wheel. Many people and vehicles had to wade through the water to pass through here.


At around 7pm on December 27, the rain began to stop in Go Vap district, Ho Chi Minh City. However, many roads in this district such as Phan Huy Ich, Pham Van Chieu, Nguyen Van Khoi were still submerged in water.

After 7:00 p.m., Nguyen Van Khoi Street is still deeply flooded.

According to information from the HCM City Urban Railway Management Board, at around 5:25 p.m. the same day, heavy rain with thunderstorms and lightning caused the electrical safety protection system of the entire Metro Line 1 to be activated.

Therefore, the HCM City Urban Railway Management Board and Urban Railway Company No. 1 have decided to temporarily suspend the train schedule and bring the trains back to the stations to ensure passenger safety. At the same time, they are conducting an inspection of the entire system of the line. Station staff have reassured and guided passengers to move safely.
