Emotional farewell to school years of a 12th grade male student

That was the emotional farewell speech of Vu Gia Bao, a student of class 12A12, in front of thousands of students of Kim Lien High School ( Hanoi ).

The farewell speech left the whole school silent. Everyone was moved to tears, because there were still regrets when having to say goodbye to their student years, leaving school, teachers and friends.

"The whole school has 676 grade 12 students. Although this year's students faced many difficulties in studying due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they have completed their school year tasks well, no student was left behind," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien - Principal of Kim Lien High School.

The farewell speech to students made everyone tear up:

"To Kim Lien and all my love!

3 years of high school passed so quickly, there was no time to hold on to anything, like a white ao dai gently draped across the heart of longing, and from then on, forever missing!

There are still so many loves that have not been expressed in words, with so many unfinished promises and wishes to stay here a little longer, even just a little bit, to run quickly through the hallways to catch the bell, to be bustling together every time we enter class and to fall over like bananas after the rain every five minutes the bell rings.

That first day at school, the sunlight was clear and bright, the song "Our beloved Kim Lien School" resounded with pride and marked the beginning of the most brilliant years of youth.

Now that I'm about to leave, the sunlight is still the same, but it seems to add a bit of sadness to the purple of the Lagerstroemia and the red and pink excitement of the Royal Poinciana!

I will miss it so much, miss every row of trees, stone bench, yard, miss even the roads that have become a habit every morning when I wake up. Suddenly I see how time passes so mercilessly, stop, can you stop, to write a few lines in the autograph book for my best friend, then quickly pick up the lost memories in her hair, her smile and on the windows reflecting the dreamy sky.

Thank you Kim Lien, thank you golden lotus for embracing and protecting us for 3 years together.

Thank you teachers for your dedication, strictness, patience and tolerance in watching us grow up, leaving behind the hustle and bustle outside the school gate, so that every time we step onto the podium, we can see our second fathers and mothers burning with the sacred passion of their profession, so that each passing year is a season of blooming lotuses.

Thank you to the security guards, the janitors, the silent souls, who have been so attached to the school and Kim Lien would not be as beautiful as it is without the images of you perched precariously on the walls or the steady brooms to keep the floors clean. Thank you to our friends, comrades, and teammates who have stood shoulder to shoulder.

Youth would be so empty without those hoarse cheers, so dull without dancing wildly together in the middle of campfire parties. In the resounding music and the red sunlight, burning the sky and earth of Hanoi, there are hearts, with the melody of youth, love that burns and seethes even more...

Too much nostalgia and gratitude, the emotions rose to the point of choking, and there were moments when we suddenly became silent, only knowing how to stand in a corner, quietly watching, quietly recording everything in our minds. Even though we were reluctant, we still had to grow up, like a young bird that had to leave the nest to flap its wings and fly. We left Kim Lien to move forward with our immense and stormy aspirations.

Each person will follow their own choices, only hoping that we will always remember, a corner of the yard, a sky, a love that will forever be here, a memory that will forever be full. Wishing with all our hearts to carry the spirit of the golden lotus petals, to bloom into life, so that everywhere there will be Kim Lien. "The Vietnamese people are red with yellow skin, the Kim Lien people are red in shirts and yellow on tops"...
