Implementing the direction of Vietnam Electricity Group and Northern Power Corporation, Dien Bien Power Company has widely deployed the implementation of digital signing of electricity purchase and sale contracts for household electricity customers. To speed up the progress of digitizing electricity purchase and sale contracts, the Company has implemented many solutions, directed its affiliated power companies to proactively develop specific plans, and at the same time contacted local authorities to coordinate propaganda to households in the area. From there, helping electricity customers know and cooperate with the Electricity industry in signing minutes of termination of old electricity purchase and sale contracts and signing new electronic electricity purchase and sale contracts. Previously, with paper electricity purchase and sale contracts, storage took up a lot of space, was easily lost, and had to be searched manually, which took a lot of time. Up to now, the digitization of electricity purchase and sale contracts not only reduces storage space, risks, and loss, but also makes it easier to look up, exploit, and analyze information, bringing many conveniences, experiences, and improving customer satisfaction.

Thanks to that, I save time in receiving and quickly resolving electricity service requests.

Currently, Dien Bien Phu City Electricity is managing, operating and selling electricity to 40,669 customers in 7 wards and 5 communes in the city area; Pu Nhi commune (Dien Bien Dong district) and the entire Muong Ang district with a total of 493.08km of medium voltage lines, 543.05km of low voltage lines, including 316 public transformer stations and 59 specialized transformer stations.

Mr. Tran Van Long, Director of Dien Bien Phu City Electricity, said: The City Electricity has assigned specific plans to departments, teams, and assigned groups according to customer management areas. Before implementing contract digitization, electricity staff reviewed and standardized customer information, standardized the number of poles, meter boxes, roads, and electricity usage addresses. Up to now, 100% of customers have had their name stamped on the meter boxes, and 100% of their utility contracts have been digitized, achieving the set plan. Along with many benefits for customers, the digitization of electricity purchase and sale contracts also simplifies administrative procedures, improves the efficiency of storing and managing customer records, helps electricity staff easily look up information, especially creating a data source that can be exploited and analyzed on customer information management software.

By promoting the digitalization of electricity purchase and sale contracts, up to now, Dien Bien Electricity Company has digitized for 128,500 residential customers, reaching 100% of the plan. Becoming one of the units that completed the digitalization of electricity purchase and sale contracts the earliest, bringing many benefits to customers and the Electricity industry, in line with the general trend of the current digital transformation period.
