AC Milan have just flown to England, where the team will conclude their pre-season with two important friendlies.

First up is a match against Leeds United in Dublin, Ireland (9pm on August 9). A day later, the team plays a friendly against Chelsea in London (9pm on August 10).

After the Asian tour, Massimiliano Allegri and his team returned to Milanello to train, and welcomed key players such as Santi Gimenez, new signing Jashari and especially Luka Modric .

The former Real Madrid player just debuted a few days ago, creating a real stir when he set foot in the fashion capital of Italy.

Initially, there were many doubts about whether Modric could participate in these friendly matches, because he had only practiced with the team a few times.

In the series of friendlies in the UK, the match with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge is of more importance.

Enzo Maresca's Chelsea are Premier League title contenders. The Blues are a solid team, centred around playmaker Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernandez.

Maresca and his team have just won the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Therefore, this match will give a look at the new look of Milan - a team with many changes in terms of personnel.

Milan tifosi are eager to see Modric in the team shirt. This is the first Ballon d'Or to appear in Milan since Ronaldinho in 2008.

At the age of 39, Modric wants to prove that he still has enough "fuel" to compete at the top level and conquer a new Scudetto with Milan.
