Returning to music right after Tet Giap Thin 2024, Tu Tu announced a change of stage name to M Tu, released the MV "5 10" and also revealed about her debut album.
M Tú's single and MV 5 10 were released on the evening of February 22, at the same time as the product launch with artists Son Tung M-TP, J97 (Jack), Ho Quynh Huong, Ha Nhi... The song has a City Pop sound, a music genre with strong Asian colors, combined with poetic lyrics composed by M Tú. The female singer collaborated with the Producer of the band 7UPPERCUTS - KET to complete this product. The song impresses with its use of counting beats in the folk game of hide and seek to depict each different moment and emotion of the character.
MV 5 10 brings the audience to a magical world in M Tu's imagination where girls are free to find their love. The MV's content tells the story of a girl's pure unrequited love who does not hesitate to create opportunities to get closer to the boy she likes.
The color part is a unique point in the MV with a gentle, bright peach tone, painting a scene filled with love. Through the song and MV, M Tu conveys the proactive spirit of young people in a gentle, skillful way.
Not only composing and performing the song, M Tu also took on the role of visual director of the MV 5 10. The female singer shared: “This is a song that M Tu completed 2 years ago. After a period of independent artistic practice, M Tu has truly found collaborators who understand and trust Tu's energy and spirit. Tu is very grateful for the opportunity to bring the song's MV to the public."
The song 5 10 in M Tu's debut album Playing the Game of Love will be released on February 28 on all online music platforms.
M Tu's real name is Nguyen Ngoc Minh Tu, 23 years old, studied Graphic Design at Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture. M Tu began her composing journey by humming melodies from her own poems. She has many beloved songs when working independently such as Nhu mi, Tuong tu, Mo ... In 2023, M Tu joined the management company The First Management, "sharing a house" with Chi Pu, Hoang Oanh, Trang Phap...
