Land acquisition problems are greatly affecting the construction progress of bridges on the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway.
Speaking to the press, a representative of the XL24 package management board of the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway project said they are very worried about the bridge construction progress because the site clearance problem has not been resolved.
Construction progress of the bridge on the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway is being greatly affected by site clearance problems.
Mr. Le Duc Tranh, Director of the Executive Board, said that in the last months of the year, the Project Management Board of Traffic Works of Tuyen Quang province, together with the district authorities, were also determined to complete the handover of the project site.
In fact, up to this point, some critical road locations have not yet been handed over. Of these, 19/20 bridge locations have been handed over to GPMB in part or in full.
"According to the plan, by December 31, 2025, the entire Ha Giang - Tuyen Quang route will be completed, meaning there are only 10 months left to complete the works on the route.
However, up to now, critical locations such as the Highway 2 overpass are stuck in the positions of all 4 pillars and cannot be implemented.
Or km54 bridge is a location with a large intersection but up to now the site has not been handed over to the contractor, the mobilization of machinery and people for construction is slowing down.
In February 2025, if the site locations are not cleared and not handed over to the contractor, the project will not be able to finish by the end of 2025," said Mr. Tranh.
Not only the main construction site, according to the leader of the package management board, site clearance work at material mines and waste dumps also encountered many obstacles when some households requested compensation levels higher than the local price frame.
For more information, the representative of the XL24 package management board said that within the handed-over area, the joint venture contractor has mobilized 152 machines and equipment, 230 officers, engineers and workers to organize construction at 19/19 handed-over bridge points.
Total output to date has reached about 174.5/626 billion VND, equivalent to nearly 31% of the plan.
The main items being focused on are: Bored piles at large bridges, site clearance, removal of unsuitable materials, excavation and filling of roadbed soil, construction of public roads, etc.
The Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway Project (Phase 1) has a total length of 77km, divided into 6 construction packages (from package XL19-XL24). This is a key transport infrastructure project, of great significance in improving inter-regional connectivity, promoting socio -economic development of Tuyen Quang province in particular and the Northern region in general.
In which, package XL24 includes 22 bridge works along the entire route.
