Singer Duc Phuc's mother: "I hope my son gets married and has grandchildren"

(Dan Tri) - Welcoming Duc Phuc at Noi Bai airport on the morning of September 26, the male singer's parents expressed their pride in their son's victory. The male singer's mother hopes that he will live a good life and soon get married and have children.

Present at 5:45 am at Noi Bai airport ( Hanoi ) to welcome Duc Phuc back to Vietnam after winning the Intervision 2025 competition, the male singer's parents were surrounded by many fans to congratulate him.

Ms. Pham Hong Yen (born 1971) - mother of singer Duc Phuc - shared that the day her son competed in Russia, her whole family stayed up to watch live.

When she heard the news that her son had won, she was so happy she couldn’t sleep. She said that Duc Phuc had performed abroad many times before, but this time he was participating in a big competition, so the family was very nervous.

Talking about singer My Tam, Duc Phuc's mother said: "Phuc's greatest luck was meeting Ms. Tam. She is a dedicated and virtuous person who saw his voice. She kept him and believed that this voice would go far. What's special is that that decision did not take into account appearance, only talent."

Telling her son, she said: "I hope you will develop your career and become a good person."

At the same time, she also shared about her family's wishes: "Both parents hope Phuc will soon get married and have children because we are both old, but we respect his decision, Phuc is still young and is focusing on developing his career."

Mr. Nguyen Van Trung - father of Intervision 2025 champion Duc Phuc - said that the family is very proud of his son's achievements.

"At first, the family did not know that Phuc would perform the Phu Dong Thien Vuong act. This is a act imbued with national identity. We feel proud of our son," said Mr. Trung.

Before that, Mr. Trung saw the press widely reporting about Duc Phuc but did not see any mention of teacher My Tam and musician Ho Hoai Anh who had influenced Duc Phuc's success. So he spoke up on behalf of his son to thank him.

Just arriving in Vietnam to the warm welcome and congratulations of everyone, singer Duc Phuc shared: "I am very happy to receive the love of the audience in Russia and Vietnam. Thank you for cheering for me."

Along with his family, many of Duc Phuc's fans were present from 4-5am to welcome him back.

Huong Thao (born 2001) lives in Hoa Binh and is one of Duc Phuc's long-time fans. Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Huong Thao recounted the long journey to the airport: "I left Hoa Binh the night before to go to Hanoi. I stayed with a friend in FC (fan club), and we both booked a car to the airport to welcome Duc Phuc."

Thao arrived at the airport at 5am. She revealed that she often attends Duc Phuc's shows, no matter how big or small.

Sharing her feelings when witnessing Duc Phuc's victory at Intervision 2025 , Huong Thao said: "Before leaving, I was sure that Phuc would bring glory to Vietnam. He is always very meticulous and thorough in every stage of preparation, from music to costumes. It is that meticulousness that has created a worthy success."

Nguyen Quynh, representative of Duc Phuc FC in Hanoi, expressed: "As a fan who has followed Duc Phuc for nearly 9 years, I always consider him as family. When I saw Duc Phuc participate in Intervision 2025 , I felt extremely proud. Many fans stayed up all night to watch the final live. When Vietnam was announced as the champion, the emotions really exploded, I cried."

According to Quynh, Duc Phuc deserves this victory not only because of his voice and talent but also because of his professionalism, dedication and broad view of the international market.

"He is always directly involved in every step of the project, not missing any step, which helps his performance to be perfect from music to image," she said.

Duc Phuc's victory has great significance for fans like Nguyen Quynh. She believes that this is not only a personal pride but also the pride of the entire fan community and Vietnamese music.

On September 20, Duc Phuc brought to the Intervision 2025 stage the performance of Phu Dong Thien Vuong, composed by musician Ho Hoai Anh, inspired by the poem Vietnamese Bamboo by Nguyen Duy.

The performance, which combines Quan Ho folk songs, rap and electronic music, is both modern and imbued with national identity, helping the Vietnamese representative convincingly win the championship.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a congratulatory letter, affirming that Duc Phuc's victory is a source of pride for Vietnamese music and culture in the international arena.

Notably, the moment Duc Phuc was announced as the winner took place on September 20, exactly 10 years since he was crowned The Voice Vietnam 2015. After a decade of working in the arts, the male singer has made a strong breakthrough, from the domestic stage to the international arena.

Mr. Ta Quang Dong - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism - praised the male singer: "Duc Phuc has fully met the criteria for a representative face. This victory is not only the artist's personal achievement but also demonstrates the thorough and serious preparation in selecting, training and supporting young talents to reach out internationally."

Intervision 2025 is a music competition, taking place at the Live Arena in Novoivanovskoye, a suburb of Moscow, Russian Federation.

The event gathered representatives from 23 countries, including host Russia and representatives from China, India, Cuba, Venezuela, Egypt, South Africa...

The winner of Intervision 2025 will be determined by secret ballot from an international jury, receiving the Intervision crystal trophy and a prize worth 30 million rubles (more than 9 billion VND).
