The forest environment leasing area has an area of 103.73 hectares. This is a forest area with favorable natural conditions for developing spiritual ecotourism with majestic natural landscapes and cool climate all year round.

After the formation of the spiritual eco-tourism area, this is the place to welcome tourists, with the highest position at an altitude of over 1,500m.

According to the document of the management board of the reserve, the leasing of the forest environment to implement the above-mentioned project is in accordance with the decision dated December 18, 2023 of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province on approving the Project on eco-tourism, resort and entertainment of Hon Ba nature reserve, period 2023 - 2029.

According to the project on eco-tourism, resort and entertainment in Hon Ba Nature Reserve for the period of 2023 - 2029 approved by the Provincial People's Committee, the scope of project implementation is on the entire area of 19,285 hectares of Hon Ba Nature Reserve (in 3 sub-zones: strictly protected sub-zone with an area of 9,519 hectares; ecological restoration sub-zone with an area of 9,553 hectares, service - administrative sub-zone with an area of 213 hectares).

According to this project, the goal by 2029 is to attract over 10,000 visitors to Hon Ba Nature Reserve, with the number of visitors staying over 30%, equivalent to 3,000 visitors.

The project is expected to build villas, bungalows, a model of Truc Lam Hon Ba pagoda and a number of other resort and entertainment facilities at Hon Ba peak area.

The project also clearly states that although constructions are allowed, the maximum height of resort buildings must not exceed 12m; and must not lose the State's ownership of forests and natural resources above ground and underground.

Construction works may only be built on vacant land, grasslands, and land with bushes that cannot regenerate themselves, and must be responsible for protecting and developing forest resources on the area where tourism activities are organized; without affecting national defense, security, landscapes, and relics.
