Visit the model of raising dense cartilage loach of Mr. Thuat, a farmer in Trong Quan commune, Dong Hung district (Thai Binh province). Cartilaginous loach is a common fish but is delicious and can be processed into many delicious dishes.

Through research, Mr. Tran Van Thuat found that loach has delicious meat, soft bones, high nutritional value, strong consumer market, and stable price.

Furthermore, according to Mr. Tran Van Thuat, loach adapts to a variety of living environments and this species of loach is very easy to raise.

After learning from successful cartilaginous loach farming facilities in several provinces, in early February 2023, Mr. Tran Van Thuat bought more than 400,000 cartilaginous loach fry to raise on an area of ​​more than 2,000 square meters.

After nearly 4 months of raising, the survival rate of loach reached over 70%, it was time to sell, the weight of loach reached 40-50 fish/kg.

With the selling price of loach cartilage at 70,000-100,000 VND/kg, after deducting expenses, Mr. Thuat's family has a profit of about 200 million VND per year.
