Ms. TQH was accused of using the content of 3 theses (including 2 master's theses and 1 bachelor's thesis) of students from International University - Ho Chi Minh National University in 2020 to publish scientific articles and gain points in her doctoral thesis.
Regarding this issue, the International University said that at the end of April, the school received a dispatch from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City requesting support in providing theses and dissertations related to Ms. TQH's doctoral thesis. 3 days later, the school responded to the dispatch and provided the requested information documents, including 2 master's theses defended in 2020 and 1 bachelor's thesis in 2020, both at the International University.

By the end of May, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics continued to send a dispatch to the school requesting additional evidence of related scientific research topics to check Ms. TQH's doctoral thesis showing signs of plagiarism.
In early June, the school provided a complete set of documents as required by Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics. The documents include: Contract for implementation of science and technology topics (2020); minutes of acceptance and liquidation of contracts for topics at Ho Chi Minh City National University (2020); registration documents for science and technology topics at Ho Chi Minh City National University; mid-term reports and summaries of related topics (including main reports and product appendices).
“We have supported the provision of theses, dissertations, and scientific research topics that the school is storing and managing related to Ms. TQH's doctoral thesis at the request of competent agencies and units. Currently, the doctoral training facility for Ms. TQH is resolving related issues. Up to this point, the school has not received any official response or conclusion from this unit. When receiving the official conclusion from competent agencies, the school will handle it in accordance with regulations," the International University affirmed.
The International University said that regarding the handling of personnel when problems arise, the school has issued and applied regulations on scientific and academic research based on the provisions of the law and of Ho Chi Minh City National University. This is the most important basis for handling violations and one of the core rules is academic integrity, requiring lecturers, students and trainees to be honest and serious in studying and researching.
According to Ms. TQH, upon receiving an official conclusion document from the training institution, in case of behavior considered to violate teacher ethics, affecting the school's reputation, the school will apply current regulations to handle the case.
The school is also reviewing, amending, supplementing and updating internal regulations and rules to suit reality, such as establishing a working group and issuing a plan to review and rebuild current regulations and rules.
