Heavy rain flooded houses, waves sank 3 fishing boats

Heavy rain is happening in Quang Binh , flood water has submerged thousands of houses, Dan Viet newspaper reporters went to the flooded areas to record.

According to Dan Viet newspaper's reporter, National Highway 1A section passing through Vo Ninh commune ( Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province) was heavily flooded, and authorities were deployed to direct traffic and put up danger warning signs.

Captain Pham Trung Kien - Vo Ninh Commune Police (Quang Ninh District, Quang Binh Province), said: "I have been standing here for 2 hours now, heavy rain, rising water caused National Highway 1A to be flooded. When vehicles come here, I instruct them to turn around, if they move, it will be very dangerous."

At the beginning of the road leading to Ham Ninh, Duy Ninh, Tan Ninh communes... (Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province), functional forces and volunteers are urgently moving boats, bringing necessities to supply people.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoan - Chairman of Tan Ninh Commune People's Committee (Quang Ninh District, Quang Binh Province), said: "Big flood! The water is still rising, the whole commune is submerged in water. We are urgently providing relief to the people. The safety of the people is paramount."

In Dong Hoi city (Quang Binh province), heavy rain and big waves sank 3 fishing boats anchored for shelter of fishermen in Bao Ninh commune, Quang Phu and Hai Thanh ward, there were no human casualties.

Nhat Le Border Guard Station mobilized 1 team and 7 officers and soldiers to support the salvage of fishermen's property.
