Buy gas now, pay later

This is the first pre-purchase, post-payment application for gasoline nationwide, applied by PVOIL for individual customers.

On the afternoon of September 30, PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL) in collaboration with HDBank launched the PVOIL 4U application for individual customers. This new product was developed by PVOIL with the goal of providing individual customers with convenient and safe gasoline purchases.

The “Buy gas first, pay later” procedure is quite simple, no need to prove income, no interest if paid on time. The limit is about 1 million VND/customer.

Customers buying gasoline can use the PVOIL 4U app for convenient payment.

From 3:00 p.m. on September 30, PVOIL will organize a promotion program for the first 9,999 customers who download the application, register for a PVOIL 4U account, and successfully make their first purchase on the PVOIL 4U application will receive a gift voucher worth VND 20,000.

Customers can use this voucher in their next transaction to buy gasoline at nearly 900 stores of PVOIL and Transportation Equipment and Materials Company (COMECO) nationwide.

In addition, customers using HDBank accounts will be able to participate in the "Lucky Spin" on the PVOIL 4U application, from September 30 to December 15, 2024, with the highest cash prize worth VND 5 million, along with thousands of other prizes with denominations from VND 20,000 to VND 200,000...

The prize is loaded directly into the customer's linked HDBank payment account on the PVOIL 4U app and the prize value is only used to pay for fuel bills or buy fuel vouchers on the PVOIL 4U app.

Mr. Cao Hoai Duong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PVOIL shared information with the press on the afternoon of September 30.

Nguyen Van Nhan, a motorbike taxi driver living in Hoc Mon district, said that the app for buying gas first and paying later is worth considering. "There are days when there are no customers, my car runs out of gas but I have no money, I have to ask my colleagues to buy gas for me, which is quite inconvenient. With the above app, we drivers can flexibly fill up gas in difficult situations," Nhan said.

Previously, in 2018, PVOIL was the first petroleum enterprise in Vietnam to launch the PVOIL Easy application, with QR code scanning, for transportation enterprises; followed by PVOIL B2B for wholesale customers (agents, distributors) in 2021. At present, the volume of petroleum sold through the PVOIL Easy application has increased 14 times compared to 2018, accounting for more than 10% of PVOIL's total retail petroleum output.

It is estimated that PVOIL’s petroleum business output in the first 9 months increased by 18% compared to the same period last year. If there are no fluctuations, PVOIL’s estimated revenue this year will reach about 120,000 billion VND; at the same time, the unit expects to develop more than 100 new petroleum stores for the system.
