In 2024, Quang Nam saved 78.81 million kWh of electricity

The Company has synchronously deployed many solutions, especially promoting the propaganda of electricity saving in production and daily life; propagating legal regulations and measures for economical and efficient energy use; implementing electricity demand management programs, encouraging large customers to proactively adjust and reduce the demand for electricity supplied from the national power system, shifting loads, contributing to reducing the maximum capacity during peak hours of the power system, reducing the situation of grid overload.

In particular, PC Quang Nam cooperated with the Department of Industry and Trade to effectively implement the program "Households save electricity 2024", inspecting key energy-using facilities. The company implemented the signing of electricity saving commitments with 100% of customers in the administrative, public lighting, industrial production and service business groups.

In order to reduce pressure on the Central region's power system during peak hours in the dry season months of 2024, through the work of PC Quang Nam, 142 production and service business customers with an output of over 1 million kWh/year have signed an agreement to participate in the DR load adjustment program with the potential to reduce maximum capacity of 42.4 MW, reducing part of the power consumption from peak hours to adjacent off-peak hours from April to July.

In 2024, the total electricity saving output of the whole province is over 78.81 million kWh, equivalent to 3.25% of the commercial electricity output of PC Quang Nam, exceeding 0.25% compared to the plan (3%) on assignment, equivalent to 6.06 million kWh of electricity.
