Increasing the capacity of Tuy Hoa 220kV Station, ensuring power supply for the entire region

At 0:56 on July 28, the AT2 220kV Tuy Hoa transformer with a capacity of 250MVA was officially energized and put into operation, increasing the capacity of the 220kV Tuy Hoa transformer station (Phu Hoa 2 commune) from 2x125MVA to 125+250MVA. This is an important milestone in enhancing the power transmission capacity, meeting the socio-economic development needs of Dak Lak province and the South Central region in the new period.

The Tuy Hoa 220kV Transformer Station Capacity Upgrading Project has a total investment of about 77 billion VND. The project replaces the existing AT2 220/110/22kV-125MVA transformer with a 220/110/22kV-250MVA transformer; installs a new 110kV NXT to the 110kV An My transformer station; expands the existing 110kV busbar for compartment E02 and reserves it for compartment E01 in the future; strengthens the 110kV conductors; replaces the equipment pole clamps and branch clamps for the main feeder compartments, the circuit breaker compartments, and the 110kV feeder; replaces the AT2 transformer, installs the 110kV feeder compartment 170, moves the 110kV valve lightning arrester, adds wires for the 110kV side, and fire prevention and fighting items...

Workers speed up construction of items, ensuring project completion on schedule.

The project was assigned by the National Power Transmission Corporation to the Power Transmission Project Management Board as the investor, and the Dak Lak Power Transmission Team (Power Transmission Company 3) took over management and operation.

After more than 4 months of fast construction day and night, the project has completed all items and has been tested, inspected and accepted by relevant units before connecting to the grid. Immediately after successful connection, the equipment system at the station has been operating stably, the operating indicators are guaranteed to meet technical requirements.

Technical staff on duty continue to closely monitor parameters, ensuring the station operates safely and continuously, well serving the electricity needs of daily life, production and industrial and service development in the area.

Mr. To Dinh Trung, Head of the Power Transmission Team (Power Transmission Company 3) said: The project not only meets the N-1 criteria of the entire system, ensuring that when an incident occurs in the power system, the system still operates stably, meeting the standards and operating limits. This project also contributes to increasing the transmission capacity of the station, ensuring the release of renewable energy sources in Dak Lak and neighboring provinces.

In particular, the project also meets the load demand for industrial production and construction activities, which is an important lever in attracting investment and developing industry and services in the Eastern Dak Lak region and the entire South Central region in the coming period.
