Nga Son mobilizes resources to build cultural and sports facilities

The cultural house and sports area of Hai Binh village, Nga Hai commune were built with contributions from the people.

Implementing the criteria for building a model new rural village, Hai Binh village, Nga Hai commune has called for support from people and children working far from home with a total budget of 4.6 billion VND to build construction items, of which more than 2 billion VND is invested in cultural institutions. Up to now, the village cultural house area has been invested in construction with full sound and lighting equipment, soccer field, badminton court and outdoor sports and exercise equipment and kits to serve the spiritual life of the people, contributing to Hai Binh village being recognized as a model new rural village in 2021 and being one of the first 5 villages recognized as a model new rural village in Nga Son district.

Head of Hai Binh village Mai Van Hieu said: “After receiving the task of building a model new rural village, we established a new rural construction committee and divided it into groups to propagate and mobilize people to contribute funds. Through many forms of appeal such as writing open letters, expressing gratitude to individuals who contributed on the village bulletin board and loudspeaker... During the process of implementing social mobilization, the construction funding source was always guaranteed to be public and transparent. Therefore, it created trust among the people, and at the same time, people saw their responsibility for the common work of the village, so they enthusiastically participated in contributing. In just a short time, we built and completed cultural institutions to serve the people in the village”.

To call for the support of people and businesses to invest in the cultural and social fields, Nga Son district has promoted propaganda work; established sports and physical training clubs; encouraged and promptly rewarded organizations and individuals who contributed to the construction of cultural institutions... In 2024 alone, the whole district has 19 cultural houses in villages and residential groups invested and built according to the standards of the model new rural construction program. Of which, the construction costs from the contributions of the people and children far from home account for up to 70%...

In addition, many historical and cultural relics in localities in the district have been preserved and embellished with socialized funding sources such as: Restoration and embellishment of Thach Tuyen Pagoda, Nga Thach Commune with a total cost of 3.4 billion VND, of which the funding from socialized sources is 922 million VND; Restoration and embellishment of Dong Kinh Communal House historical relic, Nga Truong Commune has mobilized 1.2 billion VND from socialized capital; Restoration and embellishment of Phu Thong Cave relic, Nga An Commune has mobilized more than 443 million VND from socialized capital; Restoration and embellishment of Phu Tien relic, Nga Giap Commune has mobilized 2.5 billion VND from socialized funding sources... The embellished relics have contributed to preserving and promoting heritage values, improving the effectiveness of traditional education for the younger generation.

Socialization work in the cultural and social fields in Nga Son district has changed the awareness of the role of culture in the spiritual life of all classes of people, actively contributing to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, and building a new cultural lifestyle.
