Russia attacks with hypersonic missiles, Ukraine airport is disabled

On March 25, AVP reported that Russian armed forces attacked the Stryi military airport in the Lviv region of Ukraine on the night of March 24. This airport is preparing to receive US-made F-16 fighters. This attack by Russia is part of a strategy to counter Ukraine's active preparations to put the F-16 aircraft into use.

The types of missiles used by Russia in this attack were Kh-101/555 cruise missiles and Kh-47M2 Kinzhal hypersonic missiles as well as Geran-2 suicide drones.

According to AVP, the attack temporarily disabled Stryi airport.

In addition to Stryi airport, other important Ukrainian military facilities in the area were also attacked by Russia, including fuel and ammunition depots, a transit center for Western armored vehicles crossing the Polish-Ukrainian border, and energy infrastructure.

On the battlefield, the Russian army is actively advancing towards Chasov Yar. According to AVP, units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are actively advancing into the settlement of Chasov Yar. This was announced by the head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

In this direction, the Russian armed forces have achieved positive successes, including the liberation of the village of Krasnoe and are rapidly advancing towards Chasov Yar. The control of Chasov Yar will create the conditions for the start of the “cleaning” of Artemovsk, including mine clearance and debris removal, tasks that have so far been hampered by Ukrainian shelling.

Chasov Yar, which had a population of about 12,000 people before the start of the special military operation, is located just 7 km west of Artemovsk and is a key point in the current military situation. The capture of the city, located on a hill with a height difference of 110 meters compared to Artemovsk, gives a significant advantage to the forces controlling it. It will ensure control over the surrounding territories and create conditions for further attacks. This geographical position makes Chasov Yar a strategically important defensive point for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
