Admire the masterpiece made from jade

HNN.VN - A series of rare artifacts crafted from jade and ivory are on display at the exhibition "Jade - Ivory in Religious Art" organized by the Nguyen Dynasty Porcelain Museum (114 Mai Thuc Loan, Phu Xuan Ward), opening on the morning of August 28.

Viewers were overwhelmed by more than 100 artifacts introduced by researcher and antique collector Tran Dinh Son - owner of the Nguyen Dynasty Porcelain Museum.

These are Buddha statues, pen holders, pen holders, tripods, vases, trays, seals, rosaries… originating from Japan, China, Vietnam, Thailand, India, dating from the 17th to the early 19th century. All are exquisitely carved. Each artifact is associated with a story or anecdote.

Researcher Tran Dinh Son said that these artifacts have been painstakingly collected by him for decades. Through this exhibition, he wants viewers not only to admire but also to compare artifacts from different countries, thereby understanding more about culture, history and hobbies.

The exhibition opens to the public for two weeks from today, August 28.
