Thanh Hoa Electricity Industry deploys emergency response to storm No. 3

In the face of the complicated developments of storm No. 3 (WIPHA), on the afternoon of July 21, Thanh Hoa Electricity Company held an urgent meeting to deploy measures to respond to natural disasters. The focus was to check and review all natural disaster prevention plans and to strengthen forces, means and materials to be ready to effectively respond to storm No. 3.

In response to the warning of danger, Thanh Hoa Electricity Company has activated the disaster prevention and search and rescue plan (PCTT&TKCN), assigned tasks and inspected the response to storm No. 3 in 2025. The Company has directed the affiliated Regional Power Management Teams to deploy the "4 on-site" plan including: On-site command, on-site forces, on-site supplies and on-site logistics. Ensuring synchronous and flexible organization and prioritizing labor safety in all situations.

Representatives of departments, offices and affiliated units reviewed all disaster prevention plans.

Mr. Hoang Hai, Director of Thanh Hoa Electricity Company, directed functional departments and affiliated units to seriously carry out assigned tasks, ensuring 100% spirit and health to be on duty from 5:00 p.m. on July 21. Review and update disaster prevention and control plans, paying special attention to key, vulnerable areas at risk of flooding and landslides; make a list of shock forces ready to support when necessary; check spare supplies; be ready to coordinate resources and contact suppliers when necessary.

Along with that, strengthen propaganda on electrical safety, accident prevention for people; manage social network information well to update the situation and interact with customers; ensure smooth communication with the Control Center. Prioritize stable power supply for key areas such as hospitals, provincial disaster prevention command center and closely coordinate with local authorities. After the storm, Mr. Hoang Hai requested that units need to be ready with materials, equipment, and human resources to quickly overcome any damage caused by the storm.

On the morning of July 21, the Company established working groups to inspect and direct response to storm No. 3 at its affiliated units.

With the spirit of being proactive, timely, safe and effective, Thanh Hoa Electricity Company is determined to ensure the safety of the power grid and stable power supply during and after the storm, contributing to maintaining the stability of people's lives and production and business activities in the province.
