On the morning of July 17, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) held a conference to review the work of the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2025. The conference took place in person and online at 34 locations at the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities.

Reporting on the summary of the results of the implementation of tasks in the first 6 months of the year and the key tasks for the last 6 months of 2025, the alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Le Hai Binh comprehensively assessed the results achieved in the first 6 months of the year in areas such as: preserving cultural heritage, developing high-performance sports, promoting tourism , digital transformation of the cultural sector, implementing Project 06, activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; Continuing to research and summarize the organization of the apparatus in the spirit of Resolution 18-NQ/TW, along with reviewing the implementation of decentralization and delegation in the fields of culture, sports and tourism, implementing the 2-level local government organization model. Promoting administrative procedure reform, decentralization; resolving difficulties and obstacles for projects, promoting disbursement of public investment capital.

In particular, on June 26, 2025, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism solemnly and successfully organized the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the 2025-2030 term with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Streamlining - Professionalism - Development" , upholding the spirit of "Culture is the foundation - Information is the conduit - Sports is the strength - Tourism is the connecting bridge" This is a very important milestone, an encouragement, motivation, and determination for the entire Party Committee and the entire Industry to continue to strive and steadily step into the new era of the nation; thereby continuing to gradually affirm the viewpoint "Culture must light the way for the nation", "Culture must be placed on par with economics, politics, and society".

Tourism has grown impressively, continuing to be a bright spot in contributing to the country's socio-economic development. The total number of international visitors in the first 6 months of 2025 reached more than 10.6 million, an increase of 20.7% over the same period. Total revenue from tourists in the first 6 months of 2025 is estimated at about 518 trillion VND;

The conference recorded many enthusiastic comments and contributions from localities such as: proposing solutions to overcome difficulties in state management at the grassroots level after the merger; work on reorganizing the culture, sports and tourism sector in the city after decentralization, emphasizing the need to perfect job positions and the sector's organizational structure in a streamlined and effective direction; focusing on building creative spaces, promoting socialized resources for cultural development; building unique tourism products and promoting international tourism promotion; work on developing physical education and sports, especially in building mass sports movements, socializing sports activities, and investing in young athletes.
