August 12: VND/USD exchange rate increased at many banks

Compared to the transaction on August 11, the VND/USD exchange rate at Vietcombank on August 12 increased by 30 VND in both directions. Similarly, the exchange rate at BIDV increased by 26 VND. The central exchange rate listed at the State Bank also increased by 12 VND.

Specifically, on August 12, the State Bank listed the central exchange rate at 25,243 VND/USD, an increase of 12 VND compared to the morning of August 11.

According to the prescribed trading band of ±5%, the ceiling exchange rate is 26,505 VND/USD, and the floor exchange rate is 23,981 VND/USD.

The reference exchange rate at the State Bank's Transaction Office is currently 24,020 - 26,442 VND/USD (buy - sell).

At VietinBank , updated at 2:25 p.m. this afternoon, the two-way buying and selling rates were at 26,075-26,435 VND, down 10 VND in both directions compared to the previous day's trading rate.

26,040-26,430 VND is the exchange rate listed at Vietcombank today, increasing 30 VND in both directions.

At BIDV Bank, compared to the transaction on August 11, the buying and selling prices of USD during the day simultaneously increased by 26 VND, at the threshold of 26,070-26,430 VND.

In the free market, the VND/USD exchange rate is inversely proportional between buying and selling. Specifically, the buying price decreased by 10 VND to 26,430 VND and the selling price increased by 50 VND to 26,500 VND.
