Darwin Nunez scored the third goal to give Liverpool a 3-1 lead over Toulouse before the two teams went into the break.
The Uruguayan striker had a chance to score a double in the 65th minute. This player had a solo performance on the left wing, passing the defender as well as goalkeeper Guillaume Restes but in front of an empty goal, he shot against the post.

Luckily for Nunez, teammate Ryan Gravenberch finished off the rebound to score Liverpool's fourth goal shortly after. In the 90+3 minute, Mohamed Salah scored the goal that sealed a 5-1 victory for Liverpool against Toulouse. This result helped The Kop to top Group E with 9 points after 3 wins.

Many fans expressed their amazement at Darwin Nunez's unbelievable miss on social network X (formerly known as Twitter).
One fan commented: "Nunez brought a really interesting moment, dribbling like Messi and finishing like... Lukaku".
A second wrote: "I have never seen a player as confusing as Darwin Nunez. He can do everything but then has moments like this. He is in the group of highly entertaining players."
A third said: "Nunez fell to the ground in gratitude for someone stopping his poor shot."

However, some fans joked that Nunez deliberately hit the post to help his team-mate. One wrote: "Darwin is just unselfish."
Another joked: "Darwin is really not selfish. He did everything to help Gravenberch score."
This is not Nunez's first regrettable miss in the Europa League this season. The Uruguayan striker left a big disappointment against Royal Union Saint-Gilloise with a forgettable finish right in front of the goal.
