On May 15, Mr. Nguyen Kien Quyet, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Phu commune (Ky Anh district, Ha Tinh province) said that many fishermen in this commune went out to sea to fish and caught tons of catfish and scad, bringing in high income.

At this time, in the sea of ​​Ky Phu commune, there are many catfish and scad fish. Each trip to sea is about 2 to 3 nautical miles from the coast of Ky Phu commune, in about 2-3 hours, each fishing boat of local fishermen can catch from 1 to 3 tons of fish, some boats catch about 4 to 5 tons of fish in a day, with the selling price ranging from 15,000-18,000 VND/kg depending on the type.

Catfish and scad are small in size and are mainly used to make delicious fish sauce. Therefore, when the fish are caught and brought back to shore, traders and processing facility owners in Ky Anh district come to buy them all quickly.

Currently, the whole Ky Phu commune has 223 fishing boats of various capacities, including dozens of boats catching a lot of catfish and scad. In the past, local fishermen also went out to sea to catch catfish and scad, but the quantity was smaller than this time.
