According to the Ho Chi Minh City Police, "correct, complete, clean, and live" population data is the core task, the "backbone" in the digital transformation goal of the country in general and the city in particular. In recent times, the city has always paid attention to and regularly directed the work of cleaning population data such as: "going to every alley, knocking on every door" to collect original data; regularly updating, reviewing and verifying information; coordinating with other sectors to resolve problems with documents and applying technology to update through citizen identification cards and electronic identification.
