Man in Nghe An happily receives lost wallet

On June 14, Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center completed procedures to hand over lost property to the people.

Previously, on the afternoon of June 11, Captain Vo Thanh Tuan and Corporal Pham Ba Trung Duc (officers of the Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center) discovered a wallet lying on the roadside in front of the detention center while patrolling and checking.

Captain Tuan and Corporal Duc picked up the wallet and reported it to the unit leader. The wallet contained 6 million VND in cash, 1,500 Euros and 2 USD, but no identification documents or information about the wallet's owner.

After sealing the wallet, Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center posted the information on the unit's Fanpage and organized verification of the owner of the above assets.

On the afternoon of June 14, Mr. Hoang Anh Trung (30 years old, residing in Vinh city, Nghe An) appeared at the unit, asking to receive his property back. After identifying the correct owner of the property, the representative of the Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center handed over the wallet and all the money and foreign currency to Mr. Trung.

Mr. Trung said that on April 11, due to personal business, he passed by the area in front of the Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center. After moving to many other places, Mr. Trung returned home and discovered that his wallet containing a lot of cash and foreign currency was missing.

"Before that, I had taken out all my personal documents to settle some business, so I only had money left in my wallet. I lost a large amount of money. I looked for it in many places I had been to during that time but could not find it. I did not think of the Provincial Police Detention Center," said Mr. Trung.

After 3 days of searching everywhere without results, this man confirmed that the above amount of money was completely lost.

At noon on June 14, while surfing Facebook, seeing information that Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center was looking for the owner of property that matched his property, Mr. Trung immediately went to the unit.

This man was happy to receive his property back and expressed his gratitude for the good deeds of the officers and soldiers of Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center.
