Man falls into 15 meter deep wall crack

Ho Chi Minh City: A 41-year-old victim fell from the corrugated iron roof of a four-story house into a gap about 30 cm wide between two walls. Police spent several hours rescuing him.

At around 10pm on November 28, a man named Tuan appeared to be unconscious and climbed onto the corrugated iron roof of a four-story house in an alley on Xom Chieu Street, Ward 13, District 4. He ran back and forth across the corrugated iron roof and then fell into the gap between the wall and the house next door. The victim was injured and tried to call for help. People tried to save him but were unsuccessful, so they reported it to the authorities.

More than 20 rescuers arrived at the scene. Police used a ladder to lower a rope from the 4th floor to pull Mr. Tuan up, but the gap was too small. Oxygen was continuously pumped into the trapped area to provide the victim with oxygen. At nearly 2 a.m., the authorities broke through the wall to reach the trapped person and bring him out. The rescue lasted for three hours.

Mr. Tuan suffered external injuries and was taken to the hospital for a medical examination. According to the police, the victim may have had hallucinations due to stimulant use, leading to loss of control of his behavior.
