Responding to storm No. 10: Water Team 3 on duty with 100% of its personnel, proactively conducting rescue operations

On September 28, a representative of the Water Division I (Traffic Police Department) said that in order to respond to storm Bualoi (storm No. 10), the unit has deployed plans to each officer and soldier and contacted the Traffic Police Department of Hue, Da Nang; Lien Chieu and Thanh Khe wards of Da Nang city, which are places that are often flooded, to be proactive in rescue work.

Specifically in Da Nang, before the storm, Water Team 3 coordinated with functional forces to propagate, contact, and call on boats to enter safe storm shelters, guide the arrangement of vehicles appropriately, and minimize risks due to storms (guided 23 tourist boats on the Han River to move and anchor to avoid storms on the Co Co River to ensure safety). At the same time, organized inspections of ships and boats anchored in the Tho Quang boat lock area (Son Tra ward, Da Nang), along the Co Co River (Ngu Hanh Son ward, Da Nang) before storm No. 10 and prevention before, during and after the storm.

The 3rd Marine Division organized anchoring, bracing, and reinforcing the vehicles, equipment, and headquarters of the unit to ensure absolute safety. 100% of the officers and soldiers on duty were ready to take on tasks when required. They proactively contacted localities and areas that frequently experienced flooding to have a basis for implementing rescue operations when sudden and unexpected situations occurred. They assigned officers and soldiers to grasp the weather situation, be ready to mobilize maximum forces and vehicles, prepare necessities, and coordinate with functional forces in Da Nang city to support people in flooded areas.

In Hue, the unit coordinated with the Waterway Police Team and the Hue Traffic Police Department to strengthen patrol and control work, combined with propaganda and guidance for more than 40 vehicle owners, 50 crew members, the Management Board of Toa Kham tourist boat station, 1 floating restaurant and 5 households raising aquatic products in cages to ensure measures to prevent and combat floods and storms (storm No. 10), focusing on mooring vehicles, watching and preserving vehicles, absolutely not allowing people to stay on the vehicle (remove all people and valuables from the vehicle), not doing passenger transport business during floods... At the same time, proactively preserve assets and prevent and combat crimes that take advantage of storms and floods to steal property and violate the law. Deploy on duty to ensure personnel numbers, proactively deploy forces, vehicles and supplies to respond to storm No. 10.
