Former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan visited Nguyen Thien Thanh Secondary School

Students of Nguyen Thien Thanh Secondary School happily welcomed former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan.

In order to commemorate and pay tribute to Professor, Doctor Nguyen Thien Thanh - father of comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan for Ca Mau land in general and Tri Phai commune in particular, on September 1, 2017, Tri Phai Secondary School was renamed Nguyen Thien Thanh Secondary School.

In 2017, comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan's family mobilized more than 4 billion VND from benefactors to upgrade and repair Nguyen Thien Thanh Secondary School to be spacious and modern, meeting the requirements of educational innovation.

In addition, every year the scholarship fund named "Professor Nguyen Thien Thanh" founded by the family of comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan has supported many students with difficult circumstances and good academic performance of the school so that they can go to school, continue studying and realize their dreams for the future.

Comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan donated books about the life and career of Professor, Doctor Nguyen Thien Thanh to Nguyen Thien Thanh Secondary School.

During the visit, comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan had a friendly conversation, asked about the teaching work and the advantages and difficulties of the school in the new school year; at the same time, hoped that the school would continue to promote its achievements, overcome difficulties to build Nguyen Thien Thanh Secondary School into a bright spot in the province's teaching and learning work; build a friendly and creative educational environment, meeting the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive educational innovation in the new period; pay attention to moral education and lifestyle for students so that they have more awareness of love for family, friends, community and society.
