The National Political Publishing House Truth organized the 4th Patriotic Emulation Congress

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the Publishing House, emphasized that patriotic emulation is a great driving force for the Vietnamese revolution to gain many victories over the past 80 years. Imbued with the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh: "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation", the patriotic emulation movements at the Publishing House in recent years have become effective measures to arouse the spirit of solidarity, innovation, creativity, efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges, determination to excellently complete the assigned political tasks of the Publishing House's cadres, party members and employees, contributing to improving the quality of editing, publishing, distribution, scientific research, and propaganda and introduction of publications to improve the level and political awareness of cadres, party members and people; building a clean and strong Party and political system of the Publishing House.

Many extensive emulation movements were launched, associated with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style and responding to movements launched by the Central Government such as: "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas", "The whole country joins hands for the poor", "Cadres, civil servants and public employees compete to practice office culture"... In particular, the Project to provide books for communes, wards and towns was effectively implemented, bringing hundreds of books to the grassroots, spreading theoretical, political and legal knowledge, contributing to building a civilized and modern new rural area.

Outstanding results in the period 2020 - 2025, the Publishing House has edited and published more than 2,500 paper books with nearly 28 million printed copies and more than 1,000 e-books; developed many specialized e-bookcases such as the Bookcase for Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation, Electronic Party Cell Bookcase, E-bookcase of President Ho Chi Minh, E-bookcase of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Law Bookcase...; donated to 55 agencies, units and localities with nearly 8,000 accounts, serving millions of readers at home and abroad.

In 5 years, the Publishing House has implemented 14 scientific topics at the Central Party Committee level, 26 grassroots projects, organized 1 international scientific conference, 37 national scientific conferences, 36 scientific seminars. The Journal of Politics and Development has been upgraded, becoming a journal with scientific points in many fields and interdisciplinary fields. Foreign affairs activities have been expanded, promoting and publishing Vietnamese theoretical and political books to the world.

Thanks to those efforts, the position and prestige of the Publishing House are increasingly affirmed. The Publishing House has published valuable theoretical and political books and series, making an important contribution to propagating, thoroughly grasping and organizing the implementation of the Party's viewpoints and guidelines, the State's policies and laws; firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation, serving the cause of building and developing the country in the direction of socialism. The material and spiritual life of cadres, civil servants and workers is constantly improved; the trust, pride, sense of responsibility and love for the profession of the cadres, civil servants and workers of the Publishing House continue to be nurtured and spread.

At the Congress, collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020 - 2025 were awarded noble awards from the Party and State: First, Second and Third Class Labor Medals; Emulation Flag of the Government; Certificate of Merit of the Prime Minister; Emulation Flag of the Publishing House; Certificate of Merit of the Director - Editor-in-Chief of the Publishing House.

The Congress also listened to many profound and practical presentations from typical advanced collectives and individuals, contributing to clarifying outstanding results, sharing experiences, initiatives and solutions to spread the spirit of patriotic emulation, arousing responsibility and enthusiasm among all cadres, civil servants and employees of the Publishing House, bringing the patriotic emulation movement deeper and more effective, creating motivation to successfully complete political tasks in the coming period.

Speaking at the Congress, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Party Agencies Nguyen Thi Hoang Van highly appreciated the comprehensive results that the National Political Publishing House Truth has achieved; at the same time, affirmed that the achieved results clearly demonstrated the spirit of effort, solidarity and high responsibility of all cadres, party members and employees of the Publishing House.

Entering the period of 2025 - 2030, in the context of the world and regional situation continuing to have many complicated developments, the patriotic emulation movement of the Publishing House needs to continue to affirm and promote the role of the Party's political and ideological publishing agency; the emulation movement needs to be strongly innovated; promote digital transformation, diversify publications and distribution methods; the Publishing House needs to pay attention to building a team of cadres with strong mettle, solid expertise, and mastery of new technology; at the same time, strengthen international cooperation to spread the Party's ideological and theoretical values to the world, contributing to enhancing the prestige and position of Vietnam in the world.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Board of Directors and the Emulation and Reward Council of the Publishing House, Associate Professor - Doctor Vu Trong Lam launched the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2025 - 2030 in the entire Publishing House with the theme: "Innovation - creativity - proactiveness - discipline - efficiency - for the development of the Publishing House".
