Many artifacts are displayed for the first time at the exhibition "Keeping the oath of independence"

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2, the Vietnam Military History Museum organizes the exhibition "Keeping the oath of independence".

The exhibition not only recreates the heroic spirit of the historic autumn of 1945, but also serves as a reminder to future generations of the sacred value of independence and sovereignty .

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Colonel Le Vu Huy, Director of the Vietnam Military History Museum, affirmed that the great victories and great achievements of our army and people over the past 80 years have been admired and highly appreciated by the people of the world and international friends, becoming valuable assets for the nation in the era of rising up, building the country to be more and more dignified, more beautiful, and on par with the world powers as President Ho Chi Minh wished.

In order to review the glorious history of the country, the exhibition introduces more than 300 images, documents, and artifacts vividly recreating the sacrificial, arduous, but extremely glorious struggle of our nation in the journey to protect independence, maintain sovereignty, build and defend the Fatherland, including 3 themes: Independence Autumn, Keeping the Oath, Glory of Vietnam, introducing an overview of the historical process from the French colonial invasion to the current period of building and developing the country.

At the exhibition, a number of images, artifacts and documents were introduced to the public for the first time, such as President Ho Chi Minh 's Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945, newspapers during the revolutionary peak period of 1941-1945, restored "Hoang De Chi Bao" seal, "Cu Ho" banknote collection, restored A Pa Chai milestone...

Thereby, contributing to educating, encouraging and motivating cadres, soldiers and people of the entire army to continue promoting the tradition of patriotism, upholding the spirit of self-reliance, self-strengthening and determination in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, turning glorious achievements of the past into motivation to fulfill the historical mission in the era of national development.

The exhibition opens to visitors from August 12, 2025 at the Vietnam Military History Museum.
