Many areas of positive growth

In the first 8 months of 2025, Phu Tho province recorded impressive signs of growth in many fields, reflecting the drastic direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels and the continuous efforts of the business community and people, creating momentum for growth in the last months of the year and achieving the target of double-digit growth this year.

In 2025, the province set a growth target of 10.3%, higher than the target assigned by the Government (+10%). To achieve this target, local Party committees and authorities focused on drastic direction, prioritizing improving the investment environment, removing difficulties for businesses, promoting digital transformation and applying science and technology. At the same time, focusing on developing synchronous infrastructure, effectively exploiting the potential of industry, services, high-quality agriculture, creating a breakthrough in attracting social resources. Such proactiveness and determination have created a strong driving force, helping the socio-economy achieve comprehensive results.

The Industrial Production Index (IIP) for the first eight months increased by 26.14% over the same period last year; August alone increased by 26.88%. Electronics, construction materials, machinery and equipment enterprises operated stably, playing a pivotal role. Electronic component revenue reached 175.6 trillion VND, up 21.7% after the US market stabilized. Some other industries also prospered: Animal feed increased by 19.4% thanks to livestock demand; ceramic tiles increased by 13.6% due to bustling construction. Although automobile, motorbike and textile production decreased slightly, the province's overall industry still maintained a high growth momentum.

Luong Son Industrial Park has a 100% occupancy rate, secondary enterprises create jobs for more than 13,000 workers.

Agricultural production was basically favorable in terms of weather. Although food output decreased slightly by 1.1% due to the change in crop structure, value was increased thanks to fruit trees and short-term industrial crops. The output of fresh meat of all kinds reached 324.1 thousand tons, up 1.7%. Animal disease prevention work was implemented synchronously. In forestry, the province planted 17.8 thousand hectares of new forest, up 2.5%; wood output reached 1.26 million ^m3 , up 5.81%. Aquaculture was stable, with output reaching 56 thousand tons, up 5.9%. High-quality aquatic breeds accounted for 68% of the farming structure.

Agriculture is increasingly developing with the cooperative economy. The province currently has 1,147 cooperatives, 1,119 farms and 451 cooperative groups. In particular, 609 OCOP products with 3 stars or more are affirming the local agricultural product brand. Trade and retail services are bustling, goods are abundant, prices are stable. Total retail sales and consumer service revenue reached 129.2 trillion VND, up 14% and reaching 71.1% of the plan.

Tourism continues to be a bright spot, with revenue reaching over VND11,500 billion in 8 months, up more than 10%, reaching 77.7% of the growth target. The province welcomed 352,000 overnight guests in August, including 15,500 international visitors. Many digital transformation solutions, promotion, promotion, and upgrading of technology infrastructure at key tourist destinations have been deployed synchronously. Transportation services grew well, with revenue reaching VND13,180 billion, up nearly 11%.

The business investment environment continues to improve. In 8 months, the province attracted 857.5 million USD of FDI capital; total development investment capital is estimated at 39.1 trillion VND, reaching 96.8% of the estimate assigned by the Central Government. Domestic revenue is estimated at 34.7 trillion VND, exceeding 100.5% of the estimate. Banking activities are stable, mobilized capital reached 301.6 trillion VND (up 8.4%), outstanding loans reached 335.8 trillion VND (up 11.2%).

Disbursement of public investment capital reached VND16,963 billion, equal to 90.8% of the plan assigned by the Central Government and 50.9% of the provincial plan, higher than the national average (43.9%) and ranked 6th out of 34 provinces and cities. On the occasion of National Day September 2, Phu Tho inaugurated and started 7 new projects, including Industrial Park, Medical Center, Cultural House... creating more momentum for infrastructure and service development.

The above positive results show the effectiveness of the drastic and synchronous direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee in closely following reality, issuing specific resolutions and decisions; organizing dialogues, and removing difficulties for businesses and people. The investment environment has improved: Administrative procedures have been simplified; digital technology has been strongly applied in healthcare management, education, public services, and cashless payments.

Infrastructure development, public investment is prioritized for key projects, creating a foundation for industrial - urban - service development. Social security is stable, nearly 42,141 workers have jobs, reaching 82.6% of the yearly plan. Health, education, culture, and social security are given synchronous attention, ensuring a stable environment for production and life.

The province is focusing on directing solutions to complete the "double-digit" growth target in 2025. In particular, directing a number of key tasks such as: Reviewing and removing obstacles in administrative procedures, compensation, site clearance, determining land prices, ensuring the supply of construction materials. Focusing on promoting high-tech, green technology projects with sustainable added value from major partners and developed countries.

Accelerate disbursement of public investment capital, strive to complete 100% of the capital plan for 2025; at the same time promote agricultural production applying science and technology, developing OCOP; industry focuses on source technology, high localization rate; services improve quality, diversify products. Develop high-quality human resources, associated with innovation, technology application; improve the quality of education and health care, meeting development requirements.

Strengthen land management - environmental protection, complete land database, build 2026 land price list; control mineral exploitation, handle waste sources. Ensure security, social order, maintain a safe environment for development.

The outstanding results in the first 8 months of 2025 show that Phu Tho is on the right track, affirming its management capacity and internal strength. With the determination of the entire political system, the support of the business community and the people, the province has every basis to reach the finish line, even surpass the set target.
