Many universities begin to announce floor scores

On July 18, many universities announced their minimum scores (scores that are eligible to receive admission applications) and candidates began registering their admission wishes using the 2024 high school graduation exam scores.

At the same time, candidates also adjust and register to confirm their admission wishes by early admission methods (reviewing academic records, admission according to school projects, scores of separate exams organized by schools). In particular, the health and pedagogy sectors are currently waiting for the floor score announced by the Ministry of Education and Training.

University of Natural Sciences (Vietnam National University (VNU) Ho Chi Minh City), the floor score ranges from 16-24 points. This is the total score of three subjects according to the admission combination, without multiplying the coefficient, including priority points. For admission combinations with English, the school only uses the 2024 high school graduation exam results. Accordingly, the majors of Oceanography , Geology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources and Environment Management, Environmental Engineering Technology, and Geological Engineering have a floor score of 16. The highest are majors in the field of Computer and Information Technology, with a floor score of 24 points or more.

The school will enroll 4,010 students, an increase of 10%, and maintain 6 admission methods. Of which, most of the quota will be used for admission based on the competency assessment test scores organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University (45-55%) and the 2024 high school graduation exam scores (15-40%). The school's tuition is expected to be around 24.7-59.6 million VND/year, an increase of 15% compared to the present.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade has 3 minimum scores of 16, 18 and 20 points depending on the major. 9 majors with a minimum score of 20 points include Food Technology, Marketing, Business Administration, International Business, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Information Technology, English Language, Chinese Language. 9 majors in the Management, Business, Service, Law groups have a minimum score of 18 points. The remaining majors have a minimum score of 16 points.

At the University of Commerce, all majors have a minimum score of 20 points. This year, the school enrolls 4,950 students. The school maintains 5 admission methods and the 2024 high school graduation exam score method accounts for 40% of the target. Last year, the admission score (standard score) of the graduation exam score method ranged from 24.5 to 27 points. The three majors of Commercial Marketing, International Business and Digital Marketing all had the highest score.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology has a floor score ranging from 16 to 19 points. Accordingly, the Information Technology and Communications - Marketing majors have the highest floor score (19 points). The majors of Automotive Engineering Technology, Business Administration, Digital Marketing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Public Relations have a floor score of 18 points. Some other majors with high admission floor scores are Electric Vehicle Technology, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Finance - Banking, Accounting, and Veterinary Medicine with 17 points. The remaining majors have a floor score of 16 points.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy, Director of the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training), from 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on July 30, candidates will register and adjust their wishes for all methods on the General Admission System of the Ministry of Education and Training. Candidates have the right to register and adjust many times, with no limit on the number of wishes, and will only be admitted to the highest wish (wish 1). Candidates should prioritize the majors they love, are passionate about, and are suitable for their abilities.
