According to information from the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, with the consent of the Prime Minister , the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense will organize the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 (VIET NAM DEFENCE 2024) from December 19-22, 2024 at Gia Lam Airport.

The exhibition covers an area of ​​over 100,000 square meters, with an indoor exhibition area of ​​15,000 square meters and an outdoor area of ​​over 20,000 square meters. To date, hundreds of units and enterprises from 36 countries have registered to participate, including Vietnam, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Finland, Belarus, Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, Turkey, India, Iran, Japan, Korea, China, Israel, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia, the UAE, the United States and Brazil,... The indoor exhibition scale has doubled compared to the 2022 exhibition.

In the exhibition area, the Organizing Committee will arrange the Vietnam Cultural Space area and the "Achievements in building the People's Armed Forces, building the National Defense". Here, visitors will be introduced to the tradition and achievements of 80 years of building, fighting and growing of the Vietnam People's Army, as well as the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day. In addition, economic - defense products, digital transformation results of military agencies, units, enterprises, and typical products of ministries, branches, localities, organizations, associations, economic groups, and enterprises will also be displayed.

The main activities at the exhibition include the opening ceremony at 9:00 a.m. on December 19, 2024, performances by the Vietnam Air Force, Special Forces and Border Guard Dogs, along with seminars, signings and exchanges between delegations and partners. The exhibition will be open to the public from 1:00 p.m. on December 21, 2024 to December 22, 2024, with many unique art programs and cultural displays.

This exhibition is an opportunity for domestic and international defense enterprises to display and introduce combat vehicles, technological solutions, weapons, equipment used for the Navy, Army, Air Defense - Air Force, cyber warfare and logistics and technical equipment. Vietnamese products displayed and introduced at the exhibition include products researched and manufactured by agencies and units of the Ministry of National Defense.

The exhibition also aims to diversify channels for cooperation in procurement, technology transfer, and promote Vietnam's defense industry capacity. This event will take place simultaneously with activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, creating an international highlight.

According to information announced by Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien at the rehearsal, up to this point, 53 international delegations from 36 countries and defense enterprises have registered to display combat vehicles, technological solutions and modern weapons.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 1:00 p.m. on December 21, 2024 to December 22, 2024, with many unique art programs and cultural displays.

At the rehearsal this morning, after watching the performance, Deputy Minister Hoang Xuan Chien agreed with the main framework of the program, along with that, he also made small adjustments related to each participating team.

"According to the assigned functions and tasks, the Organizing Committee is requested to direct the subcommittees of agencies and units to continue to organize training and complete the script to master, closely coordinate, act professionally and ensure solemn and respectful techniques for the exhibition to be a great success," Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien directed.
