The 2025 National Chess Championship for the Coolmate Cup will be held at the First Hotel (HCMC), starting from August 23 and expected to end on September 1. Athletes will compete for 14 individual medals, including 4 chess events: Standard chess, rapid chess, blitz chess, and super blitz chess.
There are also 3 sets of medals in ASEAN flag and Maruk flag for men's and women's categories.

The young generation of talents that are growing strongly such as Bang Gia Huy, Nguyen Quoc Hy, Pham Tran Gia Phuc, Dinh Nho Kiet, Tran Ngoc Minh Duy… also participated, promising to bring an attractive, dramatic and competitive tournament.
Many young players with national achievements joined the competition.
The winning players will receive cash prizes and specially designed competition outfits from sponsor Coolmate, with a total value of more than 300 million VND.
Taking place at the same time and location is the 2025 National Go Championship and Youth Go Tournament, bringing together 88 players from six provinces and cities.
Nearly 100 Go players compete without prizes
It is worth mentioning that this tournament has almost no financial support other than the small organizing budget from the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, so there are no performance bonuses.
