In the past 9 months, the export turnover of agricultural, forestry and fishery products reached 52.31 billion USD. The agricultural sector has set a target of completing exports of at least 65 billion USD by 2025. There are many signs that this target can be achieved.
In September 2025 alone, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable export turnover reached nearly 1.1 billion USD, an increase of more than 50% over the same period last year - the highest level ever recorded by month.
This is partly thanks to durian's efforts to control quality to return to the billion-dollar export race, contributing up to 800 million USD. Good quality control and market diversification are also solutions for agricultural products to achieve the set goals.
Mr. Hoang Trung - Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment said: "Our farmers have produced systematically, have quite a good understanding of the processes related to the processes of Australia, New Zealand, the US and some markets. Thus, people have met the requirements, businesses have taken advantage of their customers".
To meet the increasing demands of import partners, Vietnamese enterprises have invested heavily in growing areas that meet export code standards, built modern cold storage, and applied automatic preservation and packaging technology.
With many positive signals, it is expected that in the remaining 3 months of 2025, agricultural exports will reach 67 billion USD. In a more favorable case, the above figure could reach more than 70 billion USD.
