NTO - Implementing economic development plan

On January 9, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to deploy the socio -economic development plan and budget estimates for 2024.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee attended and gave a speech. Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and comrades members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Nguyen Long Bien, Phan Tan Canh chaired the conference. Attending were comrade Tran Minh Luc, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; leaders of departments, branches and localities.

At the conference, comrade Nguyen Long Bien approved the draft plan of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing key solutions to direct and manage the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget estimate for 2024. Based on the general goals and key tasks of the Government 's direction and management, the Provincial People's Committee proposed 12 groups of tasks and key solutions with 36 key breakthrough tasks; 191 specific tasks and 54 important driving projects and works. In particular, continuing to prioritize and promote rapid and sustainable economic growth, focusing on 3 breakthroughs and 6 key priority areas, striving for GRDP growth of 11-12%.

Along with that, the Provincial People's Committee pays attention to comprehensive and synchronous development of cultural and social fields; ensures social security, improves people's material and spiritual life. Proactively responds to climate change, water security, natural disaster prevention and control, strengthens resource management and environmental protection; harmoniously resolves the relationship between economic development and environmental protection. Promotes regional linkage development, implements national planning, regional planning, provincial planning. Continues to improve and build a streamlined, effective and efficient apparatus; further promotes the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity; tightens administrative discipline and order. Strengthens the consolidation of national defense potential, ensures political security, order and social safety. Speaking at the conference, the Provincial Party Secretary acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the province in 2023, and at the same time pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in the direction and administration work that need to be frankly acknowledged and have effective solutions to overcome in the coming time, especially setting a number of goals and targets higher than in 2023 to contribute to the successful implementation of the tasks of the entire term, especially the target on GRDP growth rate. To successfully implement the goals and tasks of the 2024 resolution, Party committees, authorities at all levels and the entire political system need to continue to uphold the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, unity, responsibility, dynamism, creativity, determination, make the most of and exploit all opportunities for development, overcome all difficulties and challenges and adhere to the motto "Solidarity, discipline, flexibility, creativity, and efficiency acceleration", urgently review to propose and proactively and actively implement programs and work plans with strong, breakthrough, feasible solutions, suitable to reality to organize implementation to achieve higher results than in 2023.

Concluding the conference, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and localities to thoroughly grasp the Government's motto of action "Discipline, responsibility; proactive, timely; accelerated, creative; effective, sustainable", and the motto of the Provincial People's Committee "Solidarity, discipline, flexibility, creativity, accelerated efficiency" to innovate in thinking and act decisively, create strong changes in direction and administration, promote the sense of responsibility, and implement key tasks. Focus on seriously implementing the Provincial People's Committee's plan on breakthrough tasks and solutions. Be proactive, sensitive, closely forecast the situation, flexible in operation, timely, adjust development scenarios with appropriate solutions. Resolutely and effectively implement solutions to promote disbursement of public investment capital. Identify energy as a breakthrough, with room for improvement, and a major contributor to growth; All levels and sectors resolutely focus on reviewing difficulties and obstacles to propose solutions to the central government; urge the progress of energy project commencement. Continue to effectively implement the policy of developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector. Industrial development is identified as a lever to develop other manufacturing and service sectors, in which priority is given to industrial development in the southern key economic zone of the province, seaport development, commencement of LNG projects; call for investment in key projects. Focus on developing high-tech agriculture; continue restructuring the agricultural sector towards sustainability, adapting to climate change, linking value chains towards exporting advantageous products. Effectively implement the resolution on urban economic development, building Phan Rang - Thap Cham into a smart city. Speed up the completion of construction planning projects. Implement programs and projects on housing, urban development, residential areas, urban economy; Speed up the progress of some new urban areas and residential areas; strongly develop the real estate market; effectively implement social housing policies...
