NTO - Provincial People's Committee: Press conference on economic situation

On October 13, the Provincial People's Committee held a press conference on the socio -economic situation in the third quarter of 2023. Authorized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Ho Si Son, Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the press conference. Attending were leaders of departments, branches, localities, press agencies of the province and resident reporters in the province.

Since the beginning of the year, the Provincial People's Committee has closely followed the directions of the Government, the Prime Minister, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Council to fully and promptly issue programs, plans, and management solutions, so the socio-economic situation in the province has been stable and developed. The province's economic growth rate (GRDP) is estimated at 10.15%, with a total increase of 8.67% over the same period in the first 9 months of 2023. Along with economic development, the Provincial People's Committee has focused on fully and promptly implementing policies for subjects in the area; teaching and learning work is ensured according to plan; medical examination, treatment, and health care for people are improved in quality; social security is ensured. Political security, order, and social safety are ensured.

On behalf of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman, Comrade Ho Si Son, Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the press conference.

At the press conference, the leaders of the Department of Information and Communications summarized the results of propaganda work of press agencies in the province; announced the results of responses from state agencies to press questions raised at the regular press conference in the second quarter of 2023. Representatives of press agencies discussed issues of interest to the press and public opinion, and at the same time requested relevant agencies and units to clarify issues such as: Regarding the conservation and promotion of the value of the national scenic spot Vinh Hy Bay, Vinh Hai commune (Ninh Hai); conservation and promotion of the cultural value of the Kate Festival; plan to organize kite surfing competitions in 2023; some tourism projects are behind schedule... The opinions of press agencies were received and answered directly by leaders of departments, branches and localities at the press conference. For the unclear contents, the comrade chairing the press conference requested departments, branches and localities to continue researching to exchange and provide full and timely information to reporters and journalists.
