Female student with 10 points in Literature dreams of becoming an entrepreneur

On July 17, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the results of the 2024 High School Graduation Exam. At 8:00 a.m. the same day, Huynh Hong Nhu, a female student of class 12A1, Chu Van An High School, Dong Thap province, received the results and learned that she was one of the two valedictorians in the country with a perfect score in Literature.

"My mother was very happy, and I was very happy too. I expected to get a 9.5, but I didn't expect to get a 10. On the contrary, in English, I thought I would get a 10, but I only got a 9," Nhu shared.

As she said, throughout her 12 years of schooling, she has always been an excellent student, although she rarely attended extra classes. To achieve high academic results, Nhu believes that self-study awareness is the key. In addition to studying in class, Nhu often goes on social networks to follow lectures shared by teachers.

Nhu was once a provincial-level excellent student in Literature and English. In this year's exam, in addition to her outstanding achievements in these two subjects, she also scored 7 points or higher in all other subjects.

As said, I will choose to study at an economic school in Ho Chi Minh City, dreaming of becoming a businessman.

"If you study by yourself and are confident that you can do it, I believe you will also get high scores," Nhu said.

Regarding Nhu's exam results, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dung (the female student's father) said the family was very happy but "not surprised".

"Nhu always studies on his own without anyone reminding him. Up until now, he has always had high academic achievements, always getting above 9 points in Literature and English," said Mr. Dung.

Nhu's family lives in Binh Thanh commune, Hong Ngu city, just a few kilometers from the Vietnam - Cambodia border. Her parents do small business at the market. Nhu has a younger sister who is in secondary school and is also considered as good as her sister.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, teacher Nguyen Thanh Tao, homeroom teacher of Nhu, said that the female student has never missed a class. In addition to her academic achievements, Nhu also actively participates in extracurricular activities, is always sociable and cheerful with everyone.

"Nhu's achievements are the pride of herself, the school and her hometown," said teacher Tao.
