Western female student wins international award at Korean Speaking and Writing Contest

The 2024 Korean Speaking and Writing Competition is part of the academic exchange and cultural experience week with the participation of 222 contestants from King Sejong Institutes around the world . This is an opportunity for contestants to challenge their language skills and demonstrate their understanding of Korean culture.

Pham Tran Yen Vy said that she invested a lot of time to practice her Korean writing skills, focusing on grammar and expression. In addition, Yen Vy also learned about Korean culture through books, movies and academic documents so that her writing was not only accurate in language but also profound in content.

“Winning this competition means a lot to me. This is a recognition of my efforts and perseverance throughout my studies, and also opens up many new opportunities for me to continue pursuing my passion for academics and research on Korean culture,” Pham Tran Yen Vy shared.

Previously, Pham Tran Yen Vy excellently won first prize at the 2024 Korean Speaking and Writing Contest organized by King Sejong Academy Tra Vinh and was fully sponsored for an academic exchange and cultural experience trip in Seoul, Korea from October 6 to October 12, 2024.
