(NLDO) - Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics carries out the transfer of leadership succession, continuing to implement the strategy for the 2025-2030 period.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) said that the unit has carried out a leadership transfer, taking over the responsibility from the unit's Director, Professor, Dr. Su Dinh Thanh.

Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training had approved the UEH to carry out the process of reappointing two vice directors. On that basis, the UEH University Council implemented the steps according to the process and issued a resolution to reappoint two vice directors, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Quang Hung and Dr. Dinh Cong Khai; at the same time, assigned the authority to manage to Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Quang Hung.

Thus, the current leadership of UEH includes: Chairman of the University Council, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao, Deputy Director in charge, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung and Deputy Director, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai.

Resolution 71 dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo stipulates that school councils will not be organized in public educational institutions (except for public schools with international agreements), and the Party Committee Secretary will also be the head of the educational institution.

On September 12, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son sent an official dispatch to ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, chairmen of provincial/municipal People's Committees and affiliated schools to guide the implementation of the contents related to school councils in Resolution 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo. Accordingly, in the coming time, the planning and appointment of new leaders of public universities will be temporarily suspended.
