Ms. Tran Thi Bich Phuong (born 1971) - President of the Women's Union of Tung Anh commune (Duc Tho, Ha Tinh ) is always at the forefront, taking the first step, bringing the union's movement into order, creating a spreading influence among the members.

Taking on the position of President of the Women's Union of Tung Anh commune since 2013, Ms. Phuong clearly understands her role and responsibility as a "locomotive" in the union movement, so she always determines to take studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style as a "compass".

Ms. Phuong shared: “I understand that I need to always learn and follow Uncle Ho from the smallest and simplest things. Therefore, I am always close to and care for everyone, especially women and children. Since becoming the President of the Women's Union of Tung Anh commune, I have had more opportunities to regularly contact and exchange with women, and participate in activities and movements. From there, I grasp their thoughts and aspirations to have a more effective way to help those in difficulty and misfortune. Moreover, this way of doing things also helps the policies, laws of the Party, the State and emulation movements launched by the higher-level Union to be communicated promptly and easily "reach" the members."

With her role and responsibility as a "locomotive", Ms. Phuong is always exemplary, taking the lead to follow.

With a core role in activities, Ms. Phuong always takes the lead in maintaining and expanding gathering activities, attracting members, and diversifying the content of association activities according to the motto "where there are women, there are association activities".

She always sets monthly and quarterly goals and strives to realize each assigned task. The contents of studying and following Uncle Ho's example are associated with the campaigns and emulation movements of the association. She and her sisters unanimously and unitedly carry out the activities and achieve high results.

Particularly from 2021 up to now, through promoting "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", the Women's Union of Tung Anh commune has discovered and replicated more than 150 individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements.

Ms. Phuong and the branch presidents are always close and share thoughts and aspirations with members.

The Women's Union of Tung Anh commune has regularly maintained 45 on-site savings groups with outstanding loans of over 1 billion VND/year, helping over 120 members in difficult circumstances with interest-free loans to develop the economy ; built 36 models of waste classification and treatment at households, and guided members to ensure the targets of "5 no, 3 clean"...

Responding to the emulation movement "Women join hands to build new rural areas", the association has launched 36 projects worth over 250 million VND; mobilized members to participate in 2,000 working days of road construction and new rural areas; undertaken regular care of 24 "bright, green, clean, beautiful" road sections; called for and supported the charity shelter fund of over 40 million VND, awarded 32 livelihood models to poor women members and women in difficult circumstances...

The above figures have demonstrated the efforts of Ms. Phuong and the women of Tung Anh commune. The solidarity, unanimity and enthusiasm of the women have contributed to the local government and people to build Tung Anh homeland to develop more and more.

Anytime, anywhere, it is easy to see Ms. Phuong passionately involved in women's activities. From folk dance movements, gymnastics, sports to club activities... there is always her presence. She always ponders, seeks to think to build ideas, action plans, and move the association movement forward. Therefore, for many years, the women's work of Tung Anh commune has always been the leading unit in the women's movements of Duc Tho district.

Ms. Phuong shared: “Remembering Uncle Ho's teaching: "Competition is patriotism, patriotism requires competition", I always try my best to contribute to the development of my homeland. I always devote myself to developing the association's activities. My daily joy is witnessing the changes in the lives of my sisters, the solidarity, love and sharing of the members...".

Activities to show gratitude and support poor and disadvantaged women... are also carried out regularly and continuously by Ms. Phuong and the branches.

Accompanying Ms. Phuong from the first days of participating in women's work, Ms. Bui Thi Thu - Head of the Women's Association of Vong Son village (Tung Anh commune) said: "Ms. Phuong does not mind spending time and effort, is always enthusiastic and interested in activities at the grassroots level. Moreover, thanks to many innovations, creativity and suitable activities, the movements of the association have been actively responded to by women, achieved high results, contributing to attracting more and more women to participate in association activities."
