At the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam - Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee - announced the Politburo's decisions on the personnel of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary and Deputy Secretaries of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the new term. Accordingly, the Provincial Party Executive Committee consists of 52 members, the Provincial Party Standing Committee has 16 members. Ms. Vo Hai Tram holds the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; the other Deputy Secretaries are Ms. Chau Thi My Phuong, Mr. Phan Van Thang and Mr. Tran Tri Quang.

Mr. Ngo Chi Cuong was appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. He was born on September 11, 1967, in Vinh Long, and is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee. From July 2025, he has held the position of Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Vinh Long province. He has a high level of political theory, a Bachelor of Political Economics and a Bachelor of Public Administration.

In his speech, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission - Nguyen Trong Nghia - emphasized: the merger of Tien Giang and Dong Thap provinces into Dong Thap province, with an area of ​​nearly 6,000 km² and a population of more than 4.2 million people, has opened up new development space. The area stretches from the border with Cambodia to the East Sea, creating great advantages in commodity agriculture, processing industry, marine economy, logistics and tourism.

According to Mr. Nghia, the connection between Dong Thap Muoi, Go Cong beach and neighboring areas will become the driving force to link the Mekong Delta with the key economic region of the South, especially Ho Chi Minh City.
