More than 600 million USD in cryptocurrency is traded in Vietnam

VTV.vn - Over the past year, Vietnam recorded more than 600 million USD in cryptocurrency transactions per day, reaching 220-230 billion USD, ranking third in Asia-Pacific after India and South Korea.

In about 1 year, from June last year to this year, the value of cryptocurrency and crypto assets transactions in Vietnam is estimated to reach 220 - 230 billion USD. On average, more than 600 million cryptocurrencies are traded every day, according to a recent report by market research company Chainalysis.

Transaction cash flow in Vietnam currently ranks third in the Asia- Pacific region and accounts for nearly 10% of the region's total transaction value, behind only India and South Korea.

Over the past year, transaction cash flow in Vietnam increased by 55%, low compared to the triple-digit growth of other countries such as Japan, Indonesia, South Korea and India.

According to experts, this is a sign that cryptocurrencies are becoming a popular investment channel in Vietnam, in the context that the legal framework for digital assets in Vietnam is still being researched and perfected.
