The Drug Administration of Vietnam announced that fake drugs with fake labels and fake importing companies exist.

The above drugs have labels manufactured by Rotexmedica GmbH, address: Bunsenstrasse 4 - D - 22946 Trittau, Germany; imported by Rotex Vietnam Co., Ltd.

But through review, there is no Rotex Vietnam Company Limited headquartered at the registered business address at block 22 LK 07 Hung Vuong urban area (Phuc Yen city, Vinh Phuc province), with Dinh Ngoc Cuong as the company representative.

The Drug Administration of Vietnam has not yet issued any drug circulation registration certificate to Rotex Vietnam Co., Ltd. and has not yet issued any drug circulation registration certificate for tablet and capsule products manufactured by Rotexmedica GmbH, address: Bunsenstrasse 4 - D - 22946 Trittau, Germany.

Therefore, all tablets and capsules labeled by Rotexmedica GmbH, address: Bunsenstrasse 4 - D - 22946 Trittau, Germany, and drugs imported and distributed on the market by Rotex Vietnam Co., Ltd. are counterfeit drugs with the manufacturer's label.

The above-mentioned counterfeit drugs belong to the group of antibiotics, treating gastric reflux, stomach ulcers; and treating fungal infections.

To ensure safety for users, the Drug Administration of Vietnam requests the health departments of provinces and cities and health sectors to notify drug businesses and users not to trade, distribute, or use tablets and capsules labeled by Rotexmedica GmbH, address: Bunsenstrasse 4 - D - 22946 Trittau, Germany, and drugs imported and distributed by Rotex Vietnam Co., Ltd.

Strengthen inspection and examination of business activities of pharmaceutical establishments in the area, focusing on inspection of products with information as described above.

Coordinate with relevant authorities to inspect, verify, and trace the origin of products with information as described above (information related to production such as batch number, production date, expiry date, etc. may change because counterfeit drugs can be produced with different batches of labels) if discovered in the area.

At the same time, health departments urgently conduct inspections and checks on drug trading activities of the above-mentioned drug trading and usage establishments; strictly handle violations.

Require manufacturing, trading, importing and distributing companies related to products with information as described above to immediately stop distributing and circulating the drug; notify business establishments and users that have purchased the drug to stop distributing and using it and return it to the supplier.
