Mr. Nguyen Quoc Viet - Dan Le village, Thuan Hoa commune said: In 2018, through the Village Farmers' Association, his family borrowed 10 million VND from the Farmers' Support Fund. Along with the family's accumulated capital, he bought a breeding cow for 13 million VND to raise. From here, the family has more jobs, the available 1 hectare of fertile land continues to be effective; in addition to the area of 500 dragon fruit pillars, the remaining area produces rotational crops of food crops, agricultural by-products used as feed for cows. Thanks to good care, the cows grow quickly, giving birth to 1 calf each year, the bulls are fattened, the cows continue to be raised as breeding cows. With that method, from 1 initial breeding cow, after 5 years of raising, he sold 3 beef cows and earned more than 100 million VND. The family continued to use this money to buy breeding cows, increasing the current herd to 15 cows.

That is just one of hundreds of farmers in Ham Thuan Bac district who have accessed loans from the Farmers Support Fund and have promoted their effectiveness. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Dung - Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Ham Thuan Bac district said: Currently, the Farmers' Association of the district manages nearly 5 billion VND, providing loans to 299 farmers, implementing 45 projects to develop crop and livestock production. To ensure loans are given to the right subjects and capital is used for the right purposes, the Farmers' Association of the district has directed the Association's branches to seriously evaluate loan subjects. Linking loans with good guidance and selection of production and business plans suitable to the actual conditions of members' families and localities, regularly checking the use of loans. Every year, the Farmers' Association of the district coordinates to organize training courses to transfer science, technology and professional skills in capital management to the association's officials. Thanks to that, the efficiency of loans has been promoted, many local workers have been created jobs, their income has increased, and poverty has been gradually and sustainably reduced.

In fact, the Farmers Support Fund not only helps farmers in Ham Thuan Bac district have more conditions to develop the economy , increase income, improve life but also helps farmers raise awareness, change farming methods to increase product value. In the coming time, the Farmers' Association of Ham Thuan Bac district will review farmers who are eligible to participate in projects that can borrow capital to develop production.
