Four CASA aircraft participated in the training and formation flight. The CASA C-295 is a medium-range transport aircraft, 24,495m long, 25,810m wingspan, 8,663m high, capable of carrying up to 71 people or 23.2 tons of cargo. The plane can carry military vehicles thanks to its large cargo hold. Before performing a training mission, technical inspections are carried out meticulously to ensure the flight crew performs and completes the mission. From refueling, charging, safety checks… ... then proceed to hand over the aircraft to the flight crews (pilots who fly directly) With their small size, the C-212 aircraft are capable of taking off and landing on short runways. At Gia Lam airport, the planes took off twice with two different formations: 1. CASA C-295 took off first, then 2 CASA C-212 planes took off to join the formation, and finally 1 CASA C-212 plane took off to join the formation. 4 planes made 2 flights, each flight 3 laps in the sky of Hanoi and surrounding areas with 2 flight formations: 1-2-1 and 1-1-2 2 Casas seen from the cockpit During training, the CASAs flew in close formation and at low altitude. The CASA flew over the Red River area, Long Bien bridge and Chuong Duong bridge. Speaking to reporters at Gia Lam airport, Colonel Do Van Lanh, Brigade Commander of Air Force Brigade 918, said that after many days of training, the pilots successfully formed a formation and flew stably. Colonel Lanh is the person who directly commanded and operated the training flight squadrons from the command post at Gia Lam airport. Everyone is trying their best to prepare for the upcoming performance celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 at Ba Dinh Square.
