On September 24, during a working trip to the UAE, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh met with the General Director of Binance - the world's leading digital asset trading platform.
The Deputy Prime Minister suggested Binance open a headquarters in Da Nang and cooperate with the Vietnam International Financial Center to launch a crypto-asset exchange. The Government leader also invited Binance CEO Richard Teng to be a senior advisor for the process of building and developing the Vietnam International Financial Center.
Mr. Richard Teng agreed to share experiences and cooperate closely to develop the crypto asset market in Vietnam, and agreed to share experiences in developing an international financial center from Abu Dhabi's experience.

Within the framework of the working session, the Deputy Prime Minister witnessed the signing ceremony of the MOU cooperation in developing blockchain technology and digital assets between Binance and the People's Committee of Da Nang City.
Vietnam is in the process of building an international financial center in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. The international financial center in Da Nang will implement a controlled testing mechanism (sandbox) with a number of new financial models such as digital assets, digital currencies, digital payment and money transfer solutions, and allow the establishment of new exchanges and trading platforms.
In addition to Binance, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh also met with leaders of Bybit - a business with more than 2.5 million users in Vietnam and the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the UAE.
Bybit CEO welcomed Vietnam's orientation on piloting digital assets and building an international financial center. Bybit affirmed its willingness to support the development of a legal framework, share international experience and participate in training human resources for Vietnam.
Meeting with Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, a representative of Emaar Properties - a leading real estate group with a presence in 15 countries - said they want to seek investment opportunities in Vietnam. The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Government encourages Emaar to participate in direct or indirect investment through the international financial center.
