According to Mr. Bui Van Quang, Phu Tho province has directed agencies and units to develop plans to remove difficulties for 6 private investment projects and 308 redundant headquarters, currently unused after the merger of administrative units. Regarding the emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and build social housing, the whole province has built and repaired 1,258 houses with mobilized capital reaching over 130 billion VND so far.
According to Phu Tho Provincial Party Secretary Bui Minh Chau, Phu Tho is committed to striving to fulfill the 8% growth target assigned by the Government. However, Mr. Chau also proposed and recommended that the Government study and allow the expansion of the scope, subjects, and areas of application of a number of pilot and specific mechanisms and policies that have been allowed by the National Assembly to be applied in localities and have been effective in promoting growth; requested the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to have specific regulations and instructions on the advance and deduction of funds for resettlement project implementation advanced by investors; supplement investment capital from the State budget, and provide funding to ensure the progress of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung expressed his praise and impression of the growth rate and the remarkable changes of the province in all fields in the past 5 years. Most notably, the industrial production sector has developed strongly, doing well in attracting investment, especially in the FDI sector. According to the Deputy Prime Minister: The two lessons that have created impressive results are the solidarity and unity of the political system and the dynamism and creativity in policy making, and the determination in action of the Party Committee, government and people of Phu Tho province.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized: Phu Tho has great potential, advantages and room for development, so in addition to focusing on development within the province, Phu Tho must take on the mission of "connecting" provinces on the economic corridor of Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong. However, there are still some limitations that Phu Tho needs to overcome such as: Infrastructure is not yet synchronized; the development gap between regions needs to be shortened; focus on developing high-tech projects, effectively exploiting the abundant tourism potential.
In the coming time, the province will continue to implement Resolution 18/NQ-TW and Conclusion 127-KL/TW of the Politburo and the Secretariat on studying and proposing to continue to reorganize the apparatus of the political system; do a good job of ideological work, ensure smooth work, and not affect the people and businesses. With a large development potential, Phu Tho province can strive to exceed the target of 8% growth rate. To do that, the province needs to actively cut administrative procedures and business conditions according to the Government's orientation to create "leverage" for the private economy to develop, strategic transport infrastructure needs to be focused on, and strive to complete the target of building social housing. Regarding the province's proposals and recommendations, the Deputy Prime Minister assigned specific tasks to ministries and branches to synthesize and report to the Prime Minister as soon as possible.
On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung inspected the investment project of the road connecting Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway with Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho Expressway. He also inspected the project to build the Phu Tho Provincial Cultural and Artistic House.
