Phu Tho faces the risk of heavy rain, flash floods, landslides, and land subsidence.

According to information from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 20, Phu Tho continued to have moderate rain, heavy rain, and very heavy rain in some places, with the risk of flash floods and landslides in some districts.

From 6am to 8am on July 20, the province experienced moderate to heavy rain. Soil moisture models showed that some areas in the provinces were nearly 85% saturated or at saturation.

In the coming hours, the above-mentioned areas of the province will continue to have rain with accumulated rainfall ranging from 10-30mm, in some places over 50mm, with the risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in many districts, such as: Cam Khe, Doan Hung, Lam Thao, Phu Ninh, Tam Nong, Thanh Ba, Thanh Son, Thanh Thuy, Yen Lap, Phu Tho Town, Viet Tri City. Warning level of natural disaster risk due to flash floods, landslides, land subsidence due to rain, floods or water flow: Level 1.

Localized heavy rains can cause flash floods and landslides, causing very negative impacts on the environment, affecting human lives, agricultural production, causing local traffic congestion, affecting the movement of vehicles, breaking trees, damaging houses, traffic works and infrastructure.
