Ponagar Tower Festival – praying for national peace and prosperity

The Ponagar Tower Festival has a national peace and prosperity prayer part, which is an important ritual showing respect to Goddess Ponagar (Thien Y Ana), praying for national peace, people's happiness, social prosperity, and bountiful harvests. The national peace and prosperity prayer ceremony usually takes place on the 21st day of the third lunar month within the framework of the festival.

Introduction: The Ponagar Tower Festival - a national historical and cultural relic, is held annually with traditional rituals as an opportunity for everyone to turn to the Vietnamese Mother Goddess Thien YA Na, the Mother of the Cham people, to pray for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, good crops, a peaceful life, warmth and happiness. It is a vivid demonstration of the wish to remember the source of water when drinking water, national solidarity, and the solidarity of compatriots; to preserve, conserve, promote the value, and honor the beauty of culture, spirituality, and folk beliefs of the nation.
