According to a quick report from the Provincial Civil Defense Command, heavy rain and landslides left 4 people missing in Lung Cu commune; 277 houses were flooded, of which 5 houses collapsed completely, the rest suffered 40-70% damage, concentrated in Na Hang and Chiem Hoa districts. In addition, the facilities of 9 schools were damaged; over 200 hectares of corn and rice were flooded; 17 barns were damaged; 6 roads in Trung Thinh, Mau Due and Quang Nguyen communes were eroded, causing traffic jams, and many electricity and irrigation works were destroyed.
Flood water levels on Gam and Lo rivers continued to rise with an amplitude of 4-7m, exceeding alarm level 3 in many places. Heavy floods caused 3-5m deep inundation in low-lying areas along the river, over 7m in some places, posing a risk of serious landslides in riverbanks and steep slopes. In Ha Giang 2 ward, Yen Son, Nhu Khe and My Lam communes, many residential areas were flooded from 1-3m, over 4m in some places, affecting daily life, traffic, production and aquaculture.
In mountainous border communes such as Son Vi, Meo Vac, Lung Cu, Dong Van, etc., heavy rain caused landslides, flooded streams, and cut off many roads.
The Provincial Civil Defense Command has requested localities to urgently grasp the situation, count the damage, mobilize local forces to support people to overcome the consequences, repair houses, and level rocks and soil to ensure traffic and stabilize life.
Currently, forces under the Military Command of Tuyen Quang province are actively supporting the evacuation of people and property from flooded areas and areas at risk of landslides, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.

Directly commanding the rescue force at the scene, Lieutenant Colonel Kieu Hai Dang, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Defense Command of Area 1 - Yen Minh said: Receiving information from the People's Committee of Lung Cu commune about the landslide in Ma Lau A village, we quickly mobilized 46 officers and soldiers along with 30 militia soldiers, 30 officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard Command, coordinating with forces such as: Party Committee, government, police and local people to organize rescue, search for victims, and overcome the consequences as soon as possible.
